Styling littles is one of my absolute FAVORITE things to do. I mean, come on! The clothing is so tiny and I’ll take all the buttons, zippers, + accents too. I’m always on the hunt for cool + comfy pieces for my kiddos/to give as gifts. Every once in awhile I’ll add some DIY-ing to pieces to match an idea I have in mind that I just can’t find. That’s how this idea came about. I’m a sucker for denim jackets in general in all sizes haha! I’ve found some really good ones for my boys while thrifting/shopping and I’ve been adding pins and patches to them ever since.
SUPPLIES:
Cool pins + patches
Denim jacket(s)
ALL YOU DO IS:
1.) Round up your pins + patches
2.) Get your mini denim jackets out
3.) Add all the pins + patches your heart desires!
☼ Denim jackets don’t tend to be worn all of the time or in all seasons but when picking pins, I look for the ones that have the rubber stoppers in the back.
☼ Pins are colorful + some are shiny so little curious fingers might want to rip them off. I never had my boys wear their denim jackets in their car seat or somewhere they weren’t supervised. I would just bring the jacket with us where we were going and put it on when we were out of the car and I was watching.
I’ve never had issues with my boys rocking pins on their gear (my boys never even noticed them on their jackets haha) but please be mindful. It also helps to teach littles that pins can be sharp. Some shops that I know have the rubber stoppers are: PINTRILL and HEMLEVA.
