So, I am SUPER proud of myself because this year we managed to not only dye + decorate Easter eggs—but I was able to photograph them before their departure from our kitchen table. I say this because this week in our home 4 new schedules have started: a hybrid back to in-person school schedule, soccer (for our youngest), baseball (for our oldest), baseball (for our youngest) and soon soccer (for our oldest). You know, it doesn’t make my head spin less when I see it all typed out like that lol!
🧡
It’s Spring and (COVID safe) sports + activities are filling the parks, our kids are sprinting to each activity with so much excitement because we all remember what happened LAST year during spring sports. Um yeah, SHUTDOWN. In the midst of all of the excitement, my boys sat and decorated some beautiful Easter eggs.
💛
We didn’t exactly have a theme, I picked up a few kits from Target and also really wanted to hand paint some eggs for the first time ever (there were 18 eggs and I was allowed 2—haha!) We used dye, paint glitter + glues and here is our collection for this Spring preview everybody:
Here is my favorite one I got to paint. I also got my finger with the potato peeler while making dinner last night—yay for kids bandaids!
There you have it! It really was so fun and Easter egg decorating is a tradition I hold dear to my heart every year. Something I would really like to try next year is naturally dying eggs. Our oldest son was also really inspired by a video he watched about Russian Pysanky eggs and wants us to try our take on them next year too! I hope you have a great week and I’m excited to catch you here soon. Comment below with any fun Easter egg ideas you tried this year/inspire you for next year! ✌🏽💜
